Does coffee impact our motivation?


Coffee and Motivation, are they linked?


Fu*k me, coffee is way better than cocaine, with all the positives and none of the negatives, so thinks most of the world. Meaning Starbucks and Costa are loving life - legal drug dealers making billions.


Do many of us wake up so early just because we’re excited for coffee? Or is it the caffeine addiction that forces us to think that way?


We’re not dumb enough to think coffee doesn't come with its problems. We love it though!


Is it bad for our motivation in the long run?


 

Coffee and Motivation, the basics…


Coffee is a drink that is beloved by many people all around the world. It has a rich, distinctive flavor and aroma that can help to wake you up and get you going in the morning.


But did you know that coffee can also have a positive effect on your motivation? It gets our lazy, tired, old, fuzzy minds and butts going in the morning. Some people can even drink it at night to give that last push for work greatness.


How coffee gets us motivated…


First of all, let's talk about why coffee is so effective at waking you up and getting you moving. The active ingredient in coffee is caffeine, which is a stimulant that affects your central nervous system. When you drink coffee, the caffeine is quickly absorbed into your bloodstream, where it travels to your brain. Once there, it blocks the effects of a neurotransmitter called adenosine, which helps to regulate your sleep-wake cycle. By blocking adenosine, caffeine helps to keep you alert and awake.


But caffeine doesn't just affect your sleep-wake cycle. It also has other effects on your body and brain that can help to improve your motivation. Is lots of coffee good for your motivation?

Here are some reasons why coffee might not be the best choice for boosting your motivation:

We think this accounts for over half the coffee drinking population -this is why Costa and Starbucks are thriving.

Sometimes, even if we want a purest view on motivation and energy, we’ll still need that shortcut - a beautiful cup of coffee.

Does coffee impact our motivation, the conclusion…


I had a coffee just before writing this blog. It helped.


So yeah, I know it’s bad for us, but my suggestion is this; stick to one a day, kickstart your morning and get something achieved, from there your instincts will kick in, you will generate dopamine (the accomplishment chemical) from getting sh*t done. Your day will grow from there. If used correctly coffee can impact our motivation in the right direction.


The coffee industry most definitely impacts our national and local economies - if you can, go independent.
